Tractebel expertise in demand at World Bank meeting

International experts will meet in Washington DC on 7 March 2019 to discuss the latest developments and trends in the field of hydropower as part of ‘World Bank Energy Week’.

International experts will meet in Washington DC on 7 March 2019 to discuss the latest developments and trends in the field of hydropower as part of ‘World Bank Energy Week’. Dr Ralf Bucher will be participating in a podium discussion focusing on the expansion in the requirements for hydropower plants resulting from the integration of renewable energy sources.


He will be contributing in depth as a specialist in the commissioning of large-scale plants together with his particular expertise in modern energy grids. In his scientific work he is involved with the development of marine energy plant technology. Of special value is also his practical experience in the implementation of Li-ion battery storage units in the 10 MW range. On the basis of his knowledge and many years of experience in a number of countries around the world, Dr Bucher will be able to make a significant contribution to the lasting success of the World Bank conference.

at Tractebel, to take part in a panel discussion in Washington.
