Going solar in Vietnam

28 Sep 2018

The teams of Tractebel in Thailand, Belgium and India are working together on owner’s engineering missions in Vietnam for the construction of new solar parks. And more are to come.

In July, Tractebel was selected by Ha Do Binh Thuan Energy, a Vietnamese developer of renewable energy projects, as owner’s engineer for the 48MW Hong Phong 4 solar photovoltaic plant in South Vietnam. Our teams in Thailand, Belgium and India are working together on this new mission which includes tendering, design review and construction supervision. The notice to proceed is expected by next month and commercial operation is scheduled for April 2019.

This month, our team in Thailand was awarded another owner’s engineer role, this time for the construction of the 46MW Song Luy 1 solar photovoltaic plant. Like the Hong Phong 4 project, the commercial operation of the Song Luy 1 project is expected for April next year.
