Yamula Dam and Hydroelectric Plant

Located on the Kizilirmak River in Kayseri Province in central Turkey, Yamula Dam and Hydroelectric Plant consists of a high-head power plant located at the toe of a 115 m high embankment dam. The embankment is a zoned rockfill dam construction with a clay core in its centre, with a crest length of 542 m. The powerhouse is an above-ground concrete structure and accommodates two Francis turbines, each with a capacity of 52 MW.
