The Governador José Richa Hydropower Plant, as known as Salto Caxias Hydropower Plant, is located on the Iguaçu River between the cities of Capitão Leônidas Marques and Nova Prata do Iguaçu, in the State of Paraná, Southern Brazil. Salto Caxias started operation in March 1999 and has an installed capacity of 1,240 MW.
