Partnerships for the climate: Green hydrogen from the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) is in demand in Germany and Europe. Together, we can develop sustainable solutions to accelerate the energy transition. With our expertise, we accompany and support the technical implementation of innovative projects.

The two-day conference organised by Ghorfa (Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry) brings together decision-makers, industry leaders and energy experts to discuss the current challenges and opportunities in the energy sector. This congress is sponsored by Tractebel.

Tractebel experts are working on innovative projects for the sustainable production of green hydrogen on an industrial scale. As solar and wind energy is inexpensive in the Middle East and North Africa, new projects are being created for export and regional supply purposes.

Tractebel accompanies the entire value chain from the management of renewable energy supply (generation, grid, storage) to hydrogen production and the supply of derivatives such as methanol and ammonia for domestic consumption and export.

Due to our long-standing relationships with partners in the region and the experience we gained in global projects over the years, we are a strong partner when it comes to breathing life into these projects.

If you would like to learn more about Tractebel's innovative solutions and the digital tools we use to achieve them, join the panel discussion with Michael Wünnemann, Head Gas-to-X of Tractebel.

On 11 October 2022 from 15:30 to 16:30 (CET), he will be speaking on the topic “PPP in Hydrogen: upscaling for the benefit of the Arab world and lessons learned”.
