Our acoustics and vibrations experts recently signed a contract with IMEC, an international R&D and innovation hub active in the fields of nanoelectronics and digital technology. The mission is to develop a Good Practice Guide to control vibration limits for the extremely sensitive equipment present within IMEC’s facilities.
This latest success for the team adds to a long list of high-profile assignments. As well as expertise in vibrations, the team is experienced in environmental and building acoustics.
In environmental acoustics, several large-scale traffic and industry noise maps and action plans have been produced for different locations in Belgium. Environmental impact assessments carried out for a new wind turbine park, new roads or a traffic capacity increase do often include acoustics aspects, which is where our expertise can help.
The comfort of building acoustics is not only applied on large scale housing projects but also on office buildings (our clients include the State Oil Fund headquarters of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Courthouse of Ghent), cultural centres (The Muze in Bruges) and other buildings with specific acoustics needs like the project for RTBF (Belgium’s public broadcaster).
