A visit to India’s largest greenfield Smart City – Amaravati

Our team in India has become the largest consulting company in India’s largest greenfield Smart City – Amaravati, the capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Our team in India is proud to be associated with the construction of Amaravati which is one of the largest greenfield Smart City development in the world.

The city is planned over 217 Sq.km, divided into nine thematic zones of Knowledge, Sport, Electronics, Media, Tourism, Education, Government, Finance and Justice.
Infrastructure development of the city has been planned for a population of 3.5 million by 2050.

Presently works on trunk infrastructure, Tier-2 Infrastructure and various administrative, institutional and residential facilities are being executed through multiple EPC contracts.
Each EPC contract is being managed by an Owner’s Engineer (OE) and Project Management Consultant (PMC).

Our team in India is presently the OE and PMC for projects covering a significant part of the city.
Our engagement through six contracts covers various Infrastructure works as well as housing projects of over 2000 residential units.

Amaravati is being developed as a green and sustainable city with targets that include reducing ambient temperature by up to 3 degrees Celcious through 51% green cover and development of water bodies, up to 30% reduction in energy demand through energy efficient designs; and zero emissions, among others. 

Our team has over 70 engineers deployed in Amaravati and the number is expected to rise to over 100 in the next few months. The site team is supported by a core team of engineers from the Gurgaon Head Office.
