City of Ghent - Old Docks Tramway

The development of this project implies the prior execution of the redevelopment works in the area of Neuse Square, Voormuide and Muidelaan and the construction of the Verapaz Bridge.

The project also aims to make the traffic of vulnerable road users (cyclists and pedestrians) more pleasant and safer and to improve the public space along the new road.

It is divided into three spatially related sub-areas requiring integrated design: Neuseplein, Rebuild Voormuide and Dok Noord - Stepelplein - Dok Zuid.

The study includes:

• the establishment of an overview of the existing situation
• the conceptual preliminary design of the sewerage system
• the drawing up of a coordinated preliminary design brief for the three subareas
• preparation of dossiers (one per subarea) for the application of an environmental permit (including the preparation of a drainage study)
• preparation of tender documents (one per subarea)
• participating in the tender, examining the bids and preparing the award report
• supervision of the work up to and including provisional acceptance
• drawing up the final account and the "as-built" file.
