The Government of Pakistan was planning to install a 1,208 MW (net) CCPP base load power plant fired with re-gasified liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) at Haveli Bahadur Shah - Jhang Shorkot. On 30 April 2018 the combined cycle gas and steam power plant went into operation with one of the highest net efficiency rates worldwide.
