In November 2020, Tractebel opened a Representative Office in Hanoi (TEVN) through its subsidiary Tractebel Engineering Ltd. (Tractebel in Thailand).
Today, Tractebel is a key actor in the Energy sector (Wind power), and aims to develop its business in the core expertise of Tractebel: Renewables, predominantly wind and solar power, Gas to Power, LNG infrastructure, Urban (mass transportation systems and integrated eco city development advisory) and Water.

Tractebel has been providing service in Vietnam since 1993.
Tractebel provided services in the sectors of hydro power, Gas to power, wind power (onshore and offshore), solar power, LNG terminal, 500kV transmission, smart and green urban, complex building. We are able to accompany our client in the entire execution of their projects, from prefeasibility to the commissioning.
Tractebel has ambitious perspective of development in the Vietnamese market, especially in wind power. We have had a good start in mid-year 2019 with the first wind onshore project (40MW) as Owner’s Engineer, followed in the third and fourth quarter of the same year with three successfully awarded nearshore wind projects with respective capacities of 48MW in Tra Vinh, 141MW in Bac Lieu and 30MW in Soc Trang Province. These assignments added to the list of winning projects for Tractebel in Vietnam. In putting together its competences worldwide, especially for wind nearshore projects, Tractebel was awarded with more than 250MW through four owner’s engineer missions in Renewable Energy. Those successes definitely confirm the position and experience of Tractebel in the booming market in Vietnam, and is a recognition of its key technical competences in wind.
