Modernisation contract win in Canada

14 Jun 2019

RED - a company of Tractebel - is proud to have supported ENGIE with its recent award of a 35-year energy efficiency contract with the Government of Canada in the National Capital Region.

Under the contract, ENGIE and partners PCL and Black & McDonald will modernise, operate, and maintain the district energy system that heats 80 buildings and cools 67 buildings, including the Parliament Buildings, in Canada’s Capital Region, Ottawa-Gatineau.

This work is designed to support the Canadian Government’s objective to reduce its energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from operations by 40% by 2030.

RED’s contribution to the proposal involved contract reviews of the main Energy Services Acquisition Program (ESAP) Agreement, review of the inter-consortium contracts as well as assisting with the production of various contract exhibits such as design plan, construction plan, training programme, transition period, access and health and safety protocols.
