Klaas Oltmann to present a revolutionary solution at the “Zukunft Offshore 2020” in the form of our concept for offshore hydrogen production. The platform makes it possible to produce environmentally friendly green hydrogen from offshore wind energy at an industrial scale of up to 400 MW using electrolysis.
The “Zukunft Offshore” conference is to be held on 3-4 March 2020 at the Representation of Lower Saxony to the Federal Government in Berlin. Klaas Oltmann, Director of Business Development at Tractebel Overdick, will be presenting our offshore hydrogen platform in the “Offshore Wind Innovation” session from 4:00 to 5:00 pm on 4 March. Together with Tractebel Project Engineer Felix Knicker, he will be there as our representative to answer questions at the event.
The conference covers a broad subject area. The role of offshore wind energy in an integrated European energy system, the as yet untapped potential at sea and the future importance of green hydrogen are the focal points. Given the recent announcement of the raising of the development ceiling for offshore wind energy in Germany and ambitious climate goals, highly interesting talks can be anticipated. The program features presentations and discussions involving representatives from politics, science and practice. The organiser is the Bundesverband der Windparkbetreiber Offshore e.V. (BWO).
