2020 PowerAfrica offers scientists, engineers and practitioners a forum at which they can present and discuss the latest research results, ideas, technologies and applications in the field of the integration of energy systems for the African continent. This time the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) will be holding its conference virtually. The conference is to address the subject of "Sustainable and Smart Energy Revolutions for Powering Africa".

Be part of it: on Friday, 28 August from 13:45 to 14:00 CET Dr. Ralf Bucher, Head of Department Power Grids and Systems at Tractebel, will be presenting our solutions for providing reliable electricity in Africa. The title of his presentation is: “Eliminating energy poverty in Africa by integrating top-down and bottom-up electrification concepts, i.e. cross-border backbone networks & solar-hybrids”.
