Our energy experts Dr. Patric Kleineidam and Michael Wünnemann will be discussing renewable energy and hydrogen on 24 November.
The two-day Ghorfa (Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry) online conference brings together political decision-makers and leading industry representatives. They will be discussing the challenges and opportunities arising from the energy transition for the energy sector in the Arabian region.
Green hydrogen is of key importance for achieving European climate goals. Europe will not be able to cover the demand for energy that this entails from its own regenerative sources. By switching from oil to hydrogen, the Arabian region and North Africa could assume a key role in the generation and supply of green energy. This is also recognised in the Federal Republic’s National Hydrogen Strategy (NWS). The success of this transition is dependent on the development of technical and economic structures. German know-how can play a key role here.
